what is
CLINICAL PILATES
Bayside Osteopathic Clinic supports the use of specific exercises in the ongoing management of certain injuries. Clinical Pilates is a gentle exercise form that can benefit certain injuries and conditions.
Clinical Pilates is a modified form of Traditional Pilates – an exercise system initially designed by Joseph Pilates, which was developed to help with the rehabilitation and prevention of muscular injuries. One of the major focuses of this type of therapy is the development of strength in the core muscles – the deep abdominal, pelvic floor and hip musculature, and the upper and middle back muscles.
