
DR JADE COWAN
Osteopath
Jade has completed an Osteopathic Medicine course at Victoria University, gaining a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Health Science Osteopathy in 2008. Prior to joining Bayside Osteopathic Clinic Jade has worked alongside other health professionals at a GP clinic, corporate gym and large multi-disciplinary health clinic. Jade joined Bayside Osteopathic Clinic in 2017, and became director in 2020, taking over from Dr Brian Nicholls.
Having suffered chronic headaches herself, Jade has a particular interest in the treatment and management of neck pain, headaches and migraines and the TMJ or jaw. Jade also has an interest in the treatment and management of soft tissue injuries, completing further studies in lower limb tendon management. Jade uses a treatment approach that will not only focus on the patients presenting complaint but address any underlying issues to prevent reoccurrence. Jade uses a wide variety of techniques that are suitable for all ages, and in doing so she is able to apply the osteopathic technique that best suits the individual and their presenting complaint. In addition, Jade helps her patients return to optimal health with lifestyle advice on ergonomics, postural care, diet and exercise. Jade has done further studies in dry needling, tendon injury management of the hip and lower limb, osteopathy during pregnancy, TMJ dysfunction and level one Watson Headache® Approach.
