OSTEOPATHY

AT BAYSIDE OSTEOPATHIC CLINIC

A holistic healthcare approach to the treatment of common musculoskeletal complaints and a variety of related health issues.

what is

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic healthcare approach to the treatment of common musculoskeletal complaints and a variety of related health issues. It uses a number of hands on techniques to improve mobility, release soft tissue tension and relieve pain, and combines these with exercise and advice where appropriate.
Current evidence indicates that the best form of management for many painful musculoskeletal conditions is a combination of a physical therapy such as Osteopathy, exercise and lifestyle modification, and this is our approach at Bayside Osteopathic Clinic, where we combine Osteopathy with other interventions to get optimum results.
As Osteopaths we aim to help the structural integrity and the function of the body, and by doing so help the body’s own healing mechanisms to operate in the most efficient way. Osteopathic techniques use mostly low levels of force. We at Bayside Osteopathic Clinic do not believe in the ‘no pain, no gain” approach, and the patients’ comfort and safety is our primary concern. As a result, treatment can be accessed by patients of all ages.
