Dr. Khali Williams
Osteopath and Director of BOC
Known for her warmth and caring nature, Khali joined Bayside Osteopathic Clinic in 2006 in ‘Tolmie Way” days after completing her Bachelor of Science and Master of Health Science at Victoria University. After overseeing the development of the satellite clinic at Mount Martha village, Khali then became a Partner in 2011 with founding Principal Osteopath Dr Brian Nicholls. On Brian’s retirement in 2020, Khali is delighted to now be in partnership with Dr Jade Cowan and is excited for the next phase of the business and continuing to develop and grow in practice and leadership.
Khali has experience in treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal complaints, using a structural treatment approach suitable for all ages, combined with a focus on exercise rehabilitation and prevention of further injury. Khali has a keen interest in lower back and pelvic pain, especially when experienced during and after pregnancy and in middle aged women. Khali also has considerable experience treating hip and shoulder problems and has a strong focus on providing exercise rehabilitation for these regions. She also has experience in treating infants and toddlers, using osteopathy to assist in the management of feeding and digestive problems and also to reduce muscular and joint strains arising from both the birth process and toddlers’ accidents.
Khali has undertaken several professional development seminars focused on pelvic and low back pain management and rehabilitation, and has completed the Dance Medicine Australia Clinical Pilates course (Level 1 and 2). On graduating, her Masters was presented at the International Conference on Advances in Osteopathic Research.
After growing up on the Peninsula, Khali is thrilled to be able to offer Osteopathy to her local community and to share her knowledge in injury management. Khali and her husband are proud parents to three young boys.
Dr. Jade Cowan
Osteopath
Jade has completed an Osteopathic Medicine course at Victoria University, gaining a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Health Science Osteopathy in 2008. Prior to joining Bayside Osteopathic Clinic Jade has worked alongside other health professionals at a GP clinic, corporate gym and large multi-disciplinary health clinic. Jade joined Bayside Osteopathic Clinic in 2017, and became director in 2020, taking over from Dr Brian Nicholls.
Having suffered chronic headaches herself, Jade has a particular interest in the treatment and management of neck pain, headaches and migraines and the TMJ or jaw. Jade also has an interest in the treatment and management of soft tissue injuries, completing further studies in lower limb tendon management. Jade uses a treatment approach that will not only focus on the patients presenting complaint but address any underlying issues to prevent reoccurrence. Jade uses a wide variety of techniques that are suitable for all ages, and in doing so she is able to apply the osteopathic technique that best suits the individual and their presenting complaint. In addition, Jade helps her patients return to optimal health with lifestyle advice on ergonomics, postural care, diet and exercise. Jade has done further studies in dry needling, tendon injury management of the hip and lower limb, osteopathy during pregnancy, TMJ dysfunction and level one Watson Headache® Approach.
Dr. Brooke Stevenson
Osteopath
Dr Brooke Stevenson is a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath. With a commitment
to holistic healthcare and working in collaboration with your health team, Brooke
employs a patient-centred approach to address musculoskeletal complaints including
osteoarthritis, acute injuries, spinal pain and headaches. Brooke has completed further
education in neurological rehabilitation, dry needling and Clinical Pilates. In addition to
working in private practice, she currently works as a Clinical Educator and teaches a
range of subjects within the Bachelor and Masters program of Osteopathy at Victoria
University.
Dr. Kate Murphy
Osteopath
After completing her Osteopathic studies at Victoria University, Kate treated patients in South Yarra for many years where she owned and ran her own practice. She then joined Bayside Osteopathic Clinic after moving to the Peninsula.
Kate’s treatment style includes a variety of hands-on techniques such as soft-tissue release, joint mobilization and manipulation, gentle osteopathic techniques including cranial treatment, along with lifestyle and exercise advice. She is a certified mat and equipment Pilates instructor with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and regularly incorporates this into her treatment and rehabilitation plans.
Kate enjoys treating people of all ages however, a special interest of hers is pregnancy, babies and children. She has completed additional training in these areas and over the years has treated many mums-to-be, their children and extended family.
When not treating patients, Kate enjoys exploring the Mornington Peninsula with her husband and two daughters.
Dr. Verity Boyd
Osteopath
Put simply; Verity LOVES being an Osteopath. With her friendly persona and compassionate nature, she will soon put a smile on your face as together you will build an alliance to determine a tailored treatment plan. She believes the key to managing injuries and pain is for the patient to understand their exact diagnosis and the goals behind the osteopathic approach.
Her goals for each client are to help them feel STRONG, ABLE and HAPPY. Verity uses a range of osteopathic techniques, dry needling, Clinical Pilates, and exercise rehabilitation to deliver these results. Verity works with all injuries but has a special interest sporting injuries and pre and post natal patients.
Her passion for osteo was fuelled by vast and exciting experiences, being selected for an osteopathic placement in Mumbai and Goan hospitals (India), and over 7 years of sports training for various football, netball and soccer teams.
When not at work, Verity likes spending her time at the beach, preferably getting in the surf. Did we mention she is also a passionate netballer? Verity has participated from club level right through to the Victorian state league! She has recently moved into the area so if you have any peninsula secrets she needs to know now she’s a local shed love to hear them.
Dr. Rebecca Thompson
Osteopath
Rebecca believes the human body is amazing. She has a passion for health and helping her patients achieve the best from their bodies.
She graduated from Victoria University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science (Clinical Science) and a Master of Health Science.
Bringing over 15 years of experience, she has worked in many different clinics, even travelling over to Ireland and managing a clinic abroad. Throughout her career, she has worked with patients across all life stages, managing a wide variety of health conditions.
She loves the whole-person approach of Osteopathy, and the way that improvements to the body’s structure have a beneficial effect on function. Her practice has a strong emphasis on anatomy and biomechanics using effective evidence-based osteopathic techniques.
She is passionate about educating her patients and understanding their goals, in order to provide relevant exercises and lifestyle advice to work together to achieve them. A key part of her patient management is injury rehabilitation and prevention, thus providing resources for long-term health.
Areas/conditions she likes to treat include headaches and neck pain, posture related complaints, low back and pelvic/hip pain, sports injuries, arthritis and pregnancy and babies.
Rebecca also works in Home Care on the peninsula where she treats and assists with mobility and falls prevention of the older generation.
She has completed further studies in treatment during pregnancy, treating babies and infants, dry needling, tendon management and is a certified Clinical Pilates instructor.
When she is not working, you’ll find her exercising outside, cooking up a storm for her family or reading a good book.

Georgia completed her Masters of Health Science (Osteopathy) at Victoria University 2024. As part of her final year, Georgia successfully completed an internship at the clinic. She has since joined our team for her graduate year and under the mentorship of our clinic directors, Khali and Jade, we are looking forward to helping consolidate her skills and future success at Bayside Osteo.
Growing up and participating in competitive gymnastics, she developed an interest in how our bodies work and an appreciation for the holistic approach of osteopaths when managing injuries. Georgia has gained experience working across the Victoria University student clinic, Dromana and Rosebud Hands on Health community clinics, and Windana Drug & Alcohol Recovery and she is looking forward to treating a wide range of patients and conditions at Bayside Osteo Clinic. She enjoys working collaboratively with her patients to help educate them on their diagnosis and create a plan involving a variety of manual therapy, lifestyle, and exercise advice to help them return to doing the things they love the most!
Dr. Denise Cornall
Osteopath
Denise is a registered osteopath and physiotherapist with extensive clinical and professional teaching experience. She enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, offering a range of manual therapy including cranial osteopathy and self-help treatment approaches, tailored to individual needs. She believes that creating wellness rests upon the inter-relationship between body and mind and each person’s unique circumstances.
Denise also has a special interest in the fields of Paediatrics and Trauma Recovery. She completed a doctorate study that explored osteopathy for babies with breastfeeding difficulties and played a key role in the coordination, and teaching of a post-graduate university course in neonatal and infant paediatric manual therapy. Denise’s experiences while working with the Kinglake community in the bush fire recovery period lead to her interest in Trauma Recovery. She is a global certified provider of TRE, Trauma Releasing Exercises; to assist in the release of more deeply held protective body postures and tensions.
When away from the clinic, Denise enjoys spending time with her horses and grandchildren.
