Osteopathy for children & teenagers

AT BAYSIDE OSTEOPATHIC CLINIC

As osteopaths we can continue to support your child through every stage of their growth and development.

does your child or teenager require

Osteopathy

As your child grows there are different strains that are placed on the body. This may result from an accident or fall, sporting injury or overuse, poor posture or periods of rapid growth.

Before any manual therapy treatment is performed your osteopath will take a thorough case history and clinical examination to assess your child’s presenting complaint. Our osteopaths then use gentle, age-appropriate techniques to help improve mobility, ease discomfort, and get them back to doing the things they love. Osteopathic management will often also involve exercise prescription, and general advice on footwear, posture, and activity modification or return to sport guidelines. We also work closely other health professionals, including your GP, paediatrician, and allied health therapists to give your child the best possible outcomes.

Our Practitioners Dr. Verity Boyd, Dr. Kate Murphy, Dr Brooke Stevenson and Dr. Georgia McRae all have a keen interest in helping our future sporting stars.
